How We Quote a Fare

The cheapest number on a comparison site is often not the cheapest ticket you can actually fly. It may carry no checked baggage, no date change, a self-transfer that leaves you liable if the first leg is late, or a fare class that cannot be refunded at all. Our consultants quote the total cost of travelling — baggage included, transit visa requirements checked, connection times that survive a delay — and tell you plainly where paying a little more buys you protection you will be glad of.

Airlines We Ticket

Sky Travel & Tours is an IATA accredited agency, which is the part of this business most travellers never see and the part that matters most. Accreditation means we issue tickets directly through the airline settlement system rather than reselling somebody else’s booking, so the ticket is in your name with the airline from the moment it is issued. If a carrier is an IATA member, we can ticket it — and where a low cost airline sits outside that system, we book it directly instead. Between the two, there is very little flying anywhere in the world that we cannot arrange from Islamabad.

That gives us ticketing access to 370+ carriers worldwide. The airlines below are simply the ones our clients fly most — it is a shortlist, not the whole list. If the airline you want is not here, ask, because the answer is almost always yes.

Codeshare and interline arrangements let us combine two or more of these carriers on a single ticket, which matters more than it sounds: one ticket means one baggage check through to your final destination, and it means the airline carries responsibility for rebooking you if a connection is missed. Two separate tickets bought cheaply from different sites do not give you either, and that difference only becomes visible on the day something goes wrong.

Airline names and route networks change. Tell us where you need to be and by when, and we will tell you which carriers actually serve it on your dates and what each one costs.

Baggage, Fare Rules and the Fine Print

Baggage allowance varies by airline, by route and increasingly by fare class within the same aircraft. Pilgrims, students and workers returning to the Gulf usually need more allowance than a standard economy ticket carries, and buying it at the counter costs several times what it costs at the time of booking. We check the allowance against what you are actually carrying and add prepaid baggage where it saves money.

We also read the fare rules before you commit: whether the ticket permits a date change and at what penalty, whether a no-show voids the return, how long a refund takes to reach you, and whether your itinerary needs a transit visa for the country you change planes in. A transit visa missed at check-in is the single most common reason a journey does not begin.

Corporate and Group Travel

We manage travel accounts for corporate organisations, government institutions and NGOs — consolidated monthly invoicing, negotiated corporate fares, approval workflows that match your finance process, and a named consultant who knows your travel policy rather than a call centre queue. For groups, block seats can be held ahead of a confirmed passenger list, which matters for conference delegations, tour parties and Umrah groups travelling together.

Umrah and Hajj Sector Ticketing

Jeddah and Madinah sectors price very differently across the year, and the weeks either side of Ramadan and Hajj are the most expensive of the calendar. Booking early is worth more on these sectors than on any other route we sell. We can also issue an open-jaw itinerary — into Jeddah, out of Madinah — so you are not doubling back overland at the end of your journey.

Changes, Refunds and Disruption

If a flight is cancelled or rescheduled, the ticket is reissued through us rather than leaving you to argue at an airport counter. Refunds are processed to the original form of payment and the timeline depends on the airline, not on us — we will tell you what to expect at the outset rather than after you ask.

Frequently Asked Questions

How early should I book?

For ordinary dates, six to ten weeks ahead is usually the sweet spot. For Ramadan, Hajj, Eid, summer holidays and Christmas, three to six months. Fares on Pakistani departures rise steeply in the final fortnight.

Can I hold a booking before paying?

Many fares can be held on a short ticketing deadline while you arrange payment or confirm a visa outcome. Ask at the time of quoting — the deadline is set by the airline and cannot be extended once it lapses.

Do you issue tickets for passengers travelling from other cities?

Yes. The ticket does not need to be bought in the city of departure, and we regularly issue for family members departing from another city or from abroad.

What do you need from me to issue a ticket?

Passport details exactly as printed, dates and route, and contact details for the itinerary. Names must match the passport — corrections after issue are treated as a reissue by most airlines and carry a fee.

Fares change constantly and no quoted fare is held until the ticket is issued. Message a consultant on WhatsApp for a live quote on your route and dates.
