Canada Visa Assistance
Planning to visit Canada? SKY Travel & Tours, an IATA Accredited Travel Agency in Islamabad, provides professional visa consultancy and documentation assistance for the Canada Visitor Visa (Temporary Resident Visa), Business Visa, Family Visit and the Super Visa for parents and grandparents.
Forms You Must Complete
- IMM 5257 — Application for a Temporary Resident Visa, completed by every applicant including children
- IMM 5645 (or IMM 5707) — Family Information form, required for every applicant aged 18 or over
- IMM 5476 — Use of a Representative, only if someone is applying on your behalf
- IMM 5409 — Statutory Declaration of Common-Law Union, where it applies
- IMM 5484 — Document Checklist for your application
Documents Required — All Applicants
- Original passport valid at least 6 months beyond your intended travel date, plus clear copies of the bio-data page and every page carrying a stamp or visa
- Copy of CNIC
- Two recent photographs meeting the Canadian visa photo specification, with your name and date of birth written on the reverse. Where biometrics are given, the biometric photograph replaces these
- Proof of sufficient funds — personal bank statements for the last 4–6 months with a bank account maintenance certificate
- Detailed purpose of travel: a covering letter explaining why you are going, for how long, and what you will do
- Travel itinerary, flight reservation and confirmed hotel booking, or the host’s address for a family visit
- Evidence of ties to Pakistan — property documents, family circumstances, ongoing employment or business
- Previous travel history, with copies of earlier visas, particularly any UK, USA, Schengen, Australia or New Zealand visas held
- Marriage certificate and children’s B-Forms where family members are named on the application
- Ten-year history of employment, education or activity, as the IMM 5257 requires it and gaps are queried

Biometrics
Almost all Pakistani applicants must give biometrics — fingerprints and a photograph. Apply and pay first, wait for the Biometric Instruction Letter (BIL), then book your appointment at a Visa Application Centre. Do not attend without the letter.
Canada Visa Application Centres in Pakistan are located in Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi. The Islamabad centre is at Park Road, Chattha Bakhtawar, Chak Shahzad, open Monday to Friday. Booking the biometrics appointment itself is free; the biometrics fee is paid to IRCC with your application, not at the centre.
Fees
- Visitor visa (TRV) — CAD 100 per person
- Family of five or more applying together — maximum CAD 500
- Biometrics — CAD 85 per person, or up to CAD 170 per family
Fees are paid online to IRCC by card. VAC service charges, courier and photographs are separate and paid locally.
Processing Time and Visa Validity
Processing for visitor visa applications made outside Canada has recently averaged around 30 days, but the figure varies considerably by country and season, and Pakistan is frequently slower than the global average. Check the current estimate on the IRCC processing-times tool before you commit to dates, and apply well ahead of any fixed event.
Where approved, a visitor visa is usually issued as a multiple-entry visa valid up to 10 years, or until your passport expires — whichever comes first. The visa lets you travel to a port of entry; the officer there decides the length of each stay, normally up to six months.
Super Visa for Parents and Grandparents
If your children or grandchildren are Canadian citizens or permanent residents, the Super Visa is usually the better route than a visitor visa. It permits stays of up to 5 years at a time and is issued for up to 10 years of multiple entries.
- Private medical insurance from an approved provider, valid at least one year from entry, covering emergency medical care, hospitalisation and repatriation to a minimum of CAD 100,000, paid in full up front rather than by instalments
- An immigration medical examination is required
- Signed letter of invitation from your child or grandchild, promising financial support for your stay
- Proof that your host meets the minimum necessary income for their household size, evidenced by the Canada Revenue Agency Notice of Assessment showing net income, not a gross salary figure

Before You Apply
Canada refuses a significant share of visitor applications from Pakistan, and the reasons are consistent. Most are avoidable with a file that is complete and internally consistent.
- Ties to Pakistan carry the most weight. The officer is deciding whether you will leave Canada. Employment, business, property and family here matter more than the balance in your account.
- Funds must be explained, not just present. A large deposit landing shortly before the application invites the question of where it came from. Six months of steady, ordinary statements read far better than a topped-up balance.
- The forms and the documents must tell one story. Dates, employer details, travel history and stated purpose have to agree everywhere, including the ten-year history.
- Never submit anything you cannot stand behind. A misrepresentation finding carries a five-year ban from Canada and follows you to every other country you apply to.
- Apply early. Biometrics appointments and processing both stretch in peak season.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can Pakistani citizens get a Canadian visa on arrival?
No. There is no visa on arrival and no eTA for Pakistani passport holders travelling on a Pakistani passport. You must apply online and be approved before you fly.
How much does a Canada visit visa cost from Pakistan?
CAD 100 for the visitor visa plus CAD 85 for biometrics, so CAD 185 per adult, with a family maximum of CAD 500 for the visa portion. VAC and courier charges are additional.
How long does a Canada visitor visa take?
Recent averages have been near 30 days for applications made outside Canada, but Pakistan often runs longer. Check the IRCC tool for the current figure and do not book non-refundable travel against an estimate.
How long can I stay in Canada?
The visa may be valid for up to 10 years, but each stay is decided by the border officer, normally up to six months. The Super Visa allows up to five years per entry.
Do I need a medical exam?
Not usually for a visit of six months or less. It is required for the Super Visa, and for longer stays or certain occupations.
Where do I give biometrics in Pakistan?
At a Visa Application Centre in Islamabad, Lahore or Karachi, after you receive your Biometric Instruction Letter. Booking the appointment is free.
